Pipe Freezing Services Supplied:
Out of normal working hours our expert team replaced a 2.5 inch Double Regulator Valve and a Gate Valve, on water flow pipework.
Highlights Included:
Three members of our pipe freezing engineering team attended the site at 60 Kingly Street on behalf of Integral UK Ltd. After gaining access to the riser using steps and a podium, we removed the existing pipework lagging.
We then applied a freeze jacket to the chilled water flow pipework and used liquid nitrogen to create the freeze. Once the pipework froze, our team removed the existing 2.5-inch Double Regulating Valve (DRV) and installed a new one.
Next, we allowed the pipework to thaw so we could check for leaks and confirm full compliance with safety standards.
Our team then repeated the same sequence on the return chilled water pipework and replaced the 2.5-inch gate valve. After completing the valve installation, we reinstated the pipework lagging to keep the system safe, insulated and secure.
Finally, we disposed of all redundant items at a licensed refuse and recycling facility, leaving the area clean and compliant.
Result:
The valves were successfully replaced, and everything was left in good working order.
All work took place out of hours with no disruption to services.
