Pipe Freezing and Preparation
Our engineers attended the New Malden site and prepared the system for work. We used specialist equipment to apply pipe freezes on the 100mm cold water pipework within the trench.
The ice plugs created secure isolation points and kept the system live. We then supplied and used a sump pump to clear water from the trench once the redundant pipework had been disconnected.
Removal of Redundant Pipework
Our team disconnected and removed the redundant looped pipework and non-return valves. We used the pipe freezing process to avoid draining the system.
This method allowed services to continue without disruption. Our engineers followed strict safety and quality controls throughout the operation. The process kept the project efficient and avoided unnecessary downtime.
Installation of New Valves
We installed two new 100mm gate valves complete with blank plates. Our engineers fitted each valve with precision to ensure long-term performance.
After installation, the pipe freezes thawed naturally. Our team performed full leak checks and confirmed that the valves operated correctly.
