Liquid Nitrogen Pipe Freezing Key Highlights
Firstly, in order for the works to take place, the boilers were isolated prior to attending the site. Following on from this, two of our skilled engineers worked after hours to freeze two sections of 100mm hot water pipes using freeze jackets and liquid nitrogen.
Once the two pipe freezes had taken hold, another company could continue works to install new valves. Next, we were then notified once the valves had been installed and our engineers allowed the freezes to thaw, and checked for leaks. After we completed our work, another company reinstated the boilers.
After finishing our assigned pipe freezes, our engineers made sure to dispose of all unnecessary items at a licensed recycling facility.
Result – The pipework MTHW was successful stopped with a freeze plug to allow for maintenance work to take place by others. Our client was happy with the two pipework freezes and our quick turnaround time.
