The Brief
Hot Tapping Services – to provide an outlet to feed another service for others to utilise.
Summary of Services Supplied
Hot Taps – 40mm Outlets on 65mm CHW Flow and Return Risers.
The work took place on the 9th floor at PWC, out of hours.
Key Highlights of our Hot Tapping Services for PwC:
- Firstly our engineers removed the existing insulations from the pipework
- Next, installed two Hot Taps on the flow and return of the CHW 65mm pipework within the riser
- Both Hot Taps were completed with a 40mm long handled valves and sealed with plugs
- Following on from this, our team refitted the insulation around the pipework
- Our engineers ensured the site was cleared of all redundant items upon completion of our work and disposed of at a licensed refuse/recycling facility.
Result
As a result, the Hot Taps are now in readiness for future use.
Lastly, there was minimum disruption to services and works were completed out of hours.
