Step-by-step approach:
Firstly our engineers installed freeze jackets on 24 areas of the copper flow and return pipework. Next, we then completed liquid nitrogen pipe freezing and created secure ice plugs. The ice plugs stopped the water flow to allow for essential maintenance works to take place. As a result, we enabled twelve 22mm commercial valves installed without draining the system.
Secondly the team removed a section of pipework including old tees and fitted new tees. Works continued as we installed one isolation valve on each flow and return.
The workplace was cleared and we disposed of redundant materials responsibly at licensed waste facilities. Our engineers kept a clean and controlled environment.
Lastly, we checked for leaks after releasing each pipe freeze. Our team left the system ready for the next phase of the project.
